I have a few pieces of coral, but not many. This ring I thought was quite striking and kept watching it online. Don't buy much online, but periodically if the price point is right. Then BOOM!, the seller discounted it and I snagged it for $23. Maybe that was too much, but it is stunning on!

It isn't marked Sterling, but my N52 magnet isn't attracted to it. It's relatively heavy. There is an L . Y. hallmark, so once again I'm thinking Yazzie. After looking at Louise Yazzie's work, not hers and her hallmark doesn't use punctuation. Maybe Lee Yazzie? I saw a few places online indicating some of his older stuff was hall marked this way, but can't confirm.

Any other ideas on a Yazzie?

    Thanks for looking!

fleafinder thank you! Always good to have confirmation I didn't flush money...which my husband says I do. I keep telling him what little of my money I spend is a drop compared to his car stuff!

Fab piece! No, I don't think you paid too much. And there are a lot of Yazzies, I think you broke it done and now you know you have a special piece! Unique indeed.

I just have to say, very much like cannetille work!
    5. highlander56 highlander56, 8 years ago
shareurpassion I have never heard of cannetille work so I had to go look it up. Quite beautiful and delicate. As for the Yazzie's...egads, so many of them and all so talented. I'll just enjoy it regardless...even more since I didn't pay too much. Thank you!

Possibly Leo Yazzie, active 1975-present, listed in Gregory Schaaf's "American Indian Jewelry I, 1200 Artist Biographies."

CanyonRoad thank you! I had looked up Leo Yazzie, but his recent hallmark is different. At the same time, it seems the silversmith's transition their hallmarks along the way...like Tommy Singer. Thanks so much! I need to buy some books.
