I won this when I was little I am 28 so its not that old. It was during the winter school fate in Cheshunt at my primary school. I love the smile and the yellow belly something I haven't seen before. It has numbers on the label item number 97025/5 made in china for Lefray toys ltd to b55655 en71 and the toys safety regulations 1989. It also has a little yellow button like a belly button would love to know more about this yellow bear. I call him yellow tum. I would love to know more about the collection more specifically not about Lefray. What's his place of origin its clearly not Lefray so where.

Hello, Yellow Tum, you are a cutie! :)

Helen, from reading your posts, I'm not sure what your aim is here. You said you have quite a collection of teddies, but are still buying more in shops and on eBay, but you don't know how to identify or value them. If that's correct, then I would suggest that perhaps the first thing to do is acquire more knowledge and expertise on what you have so far and what to look for in the future. There are many Teddy Bear collector sites and books on teddy bear collecting. From my own limited knowledge, very few bears are extremely valuable, and by that I mean in the low thousands. Some bears may be worth in the hundreds, but I'd guess that the majority are in the dollar range. You are of course welcome to post your bears here one at a time until all are posted, and hope that some will be of interest to collectors who may be able to help you with information. In the meantime, as I suggested earlier, reading some books and studying collector sites, perhaps tracking down a collector group on Facebook and joining them would also work for you. A final suggestion would be to be happy with the memories you share with your teddy bears, that has an unlimited and forever value beyond measure.

Welcome to CW, you and your companions. :)
