Had this for a little while. Nice little brooch missing the pin. Haven't a clue as to the value. I bought it an an auction in the 1980's and since then it has been sitting with a very nice Japanese cigarette box in the safe.

This posting will explain a little about your Shakudo brooch. It's very pretty.

This is bluboi posting, I hope this helps with your research. Here on CW we are not allowed (even if we knew) to give a valuation.

Thank you very much. That's most interesting. I didn't realise the rules were against giving a valuation or advice on where to sell. At least it gives me some idea of its origins.

Hi Snod. Yours is an unusual brooch because it's signed. Pieces made for export were not usually signed like yours. It's possible this started it's life as something made for the Japanese market & was later converted.

Thanks Jewels. I've had it for years but never traced its origins.

You need an Asian collectables expert who may be able to read the mark & possibly identify a maker. They may also be able to tell you what purpose this piece was made for & whether it was always meant to be a brooch.
