JC Penney riding lawn mower

I have a JC Penny riding mower. I'm trying to find out more about it. It has a 10hp motor with 3 forward and 1 reverse gear. I bought this about 10 years ago and it has always been reliable. Now it's time for some long overdue maintainence
It really needs to have the carb rebuilt and the blades changed. Probably wouldn't hurt to change the belts as well.
I'm pretty good with a wrench (I've been working on cars and trucks since the late 70's) but I have ZERO experience with riding mowers, I don't have a clue on how to change the belts. I'm disabled (Primary Progressive MS) and can't really do much anymore. A

From what little bit I've been able to find out is MTD made these for JC Penney up until the middle 70's. The pic posted is NOT mune but looks just like it
