This is Proclamation of the governor of Missouri $25,000 Reward Jess James dead or alive $15,000 reward for Frank James. St Louis Midland Railroad & State Of Missouri. Found this poster years ago at a yard sale . I ask where she got it she found in her grandfather attic. Love vintage things so I bought it. I have done a lot of research over the years and have seen plenty of replica of this poster but never one with the red ink . Curious our small town had appraisal for fun for old stuff they were totally amazed by this poster and said it actually felt like confederate paper to have it check by a more qualified people, that I have a very nice poster. Took it to some who deals with ink and was unable to identify the ink. I know early 1800's wanted posters did not have pictures. I believe this poster was hung on a pole at the Wild West Show. You actually see four nail holes on this poster. The poster is about 13 3/4 H and 10 3/8 wide. I love my Vintage find !!!
