I am trying to find out what model Ansonia Clock this is.

It was my fathers, and still works really well, but I am not sure how old it is. From my searching, I think it may be a Boston Extra, but none of the photo's I found match the detail on the front at the top of the clock.

Any information would be most helpful so I understand its origin and value.

    Many thanks!

Thanks Efesgirl, yes I have look there, they don't have any Bostons listed that I could see. I scrolled through most of the photos but no matches.

Hello Nea. It looks like you have an Ansonia "Capri" from circa 1904. Here is another example I found online: https://www.antiqueclockspriceguide.com/pages/clock0254.php and some more: http://mb.nawcc.org/showthread.php?114774-ansonia-cast-iron-mantle-clock

As you've noted, it is very similar to their "Boston Extra" but the top is different: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/186979-ansonia-open-escapement?in=151

Welcome to Collectors Weekly and thanks for sharing your heirloom with us. I hope that helps to solve your mystery. If so, please indicate "Mystery Solved" in your listing.
