I believe this is pre WWII although I am not sure about that. The only markings on it are "US Regulation" with "Made in U.S.A."
Special thanks to Smokey for photo bombing this.
It is a Model 1892 bugle made in the key of G with a tuning slide that made it into the key of G. I used to be able to play it at even played it at a Memorial Day event in the long long ago.
This is the same bugle made for the Boy Scouts.
There is conflicting information as to if the markings are correct for a US Military bugle.
Aww.........smokey can Photo bomb any Photo he/she wants to
That is too cool!! Did not know you could play this. I played the trumpet for several years, but haven't picked one up in over 25 years.
I played the tenor sax from 5th grade through my second year of college. Once tried to play a trumpet,...... man, it was not easy!!! [;>)
Thank you very much Thomas. My main axe was bass trombone but back in the day I could play any brass instrument with varying degrees of success.
Thank you very much antiquerose. Smokey is a boy cat and is currently doing some lap sitting.
Thank you very much Scott. I haven't played mine in years. You lose the lip and it is just too hard to get it back.
Thank you very much NevadaBlades. We are even as I can't get a thing from a reed instrument.
