It was kind slow at the Flea, the last 2 weekends, it rained Sunday 10/16, so no Flea, and this past weekend was just slow. I found some different things, but, maybe bought some just to keep it from being a wasted trip! :^)
I saw whyatt's post today, and had to post some for myself, if you have a chance, check them out, makes me envious! Good Job whyatt!
I like to photograph my things with other items, to maybe spark interest, so feel free to ask about them!
The 3 knives are all 3 blade folding pocket knives. The 2 knives with dark brown stag horn, case/handles, I bought from the same seller on Saturday Oct. 15th, I think more to have something to look up when I got home, so maybe paid more then I would have on a better day, but the price $25. for both was still a fair price, I guess.
The top knife is a UTICA CUTLERY CO. UTICA, N.Y. it says in 3 lines on all the blades. The main blade alone 2 1/2", and a little loose. the other 2 blades are 1 7/8", the flat blade is tight with good snap, but the pointed blade is a little slow, but tight.
The middle knife is a Boker it says on both the main 2 5/8" and secondary blade 2", that are on the same end of the knife, with Boker (the tree mark) then Tree Brand etched across the face of the main blade, and the tree mark on the other side of the main blade, the pick or punch blade on the other end of the knife is unmarked, and 2" long. All the blades are tight with good snap.
The bottom knife, that I got for $1. on Saturday Oct. 22, is marked IMPERIAL PROV.R.I. on 2 lines on the main 2 1/4" blade, with the secondary blade 1 7/8", on the same end of the knife, the pick or punch, on the other end is broken with 3/4" left. All blades are tight with fairly good snap. I really like the case/handle on this knife, the marbled plastic reminds me of a root beer float! :^)
If you're on CW's main page and see photo one, it looks like giant knives among furniture! LOL.
It kinda does SpiritBear, funny! :^) thanks for the love!
thanks olebodie, the bronze or brass antique, is a double inkwell desk set, I think 1880's, and across from it, a postage stamp holder, about the same time period, as is the scissor and letter opener set between them, but my favorite is the Buffalo bookend, it has such a great look! :^)
thanks for all the loves people, it seems, knives get ya right in the heart! :^D
I took more pics. of all the items, I'll post the inkwell in a minute, and a larger one later. olebodie
