This is a new addition, a present to myself when I was in the Far East this Summer. I'm hoping that someone might have a idea of country of origin, I was thinking Myanmar or China. Also if it is Jade or Jadeite, the colour and any information anybody can give me. The only thing I know is the gold is 14 ct, the design seems to be hand made. I'm beginning to get interested in Jade and would love to know more about this wonderful gem.
Many thanks for looking.
Now this does look like jade in the photos. Do you see how different it is from your other one posted earlier?
I do davyd, I've been looking at both of them though a loupe and to me they seem to have granulars, and the structure of them are similar. I know this bracelet is a better quality. Thanks for your comment, it's much appreciated.
Very very nice! The mount has an uncommon design.
Sorry kyra I've just seen your comment. Would you have any idea of origin also is it jadeite? Thanks in advance.
I think jade jadeite variety, I think too, as you bought it in Asia, mined from Myanmar (China's jade is only nephrite variety).
I don't feel it continental China, maybe Hong-Kong or Vietnam, some sold by Honolulu jewelers (saw them on Ebay) have this kind of modernist design too.
All that saying is only my feelings, not prooved ;-)
wow! That is some bracelet Jean. wow
Mings of Honolulu, kind of similar mount:

Thanks Kyra, I did buy the bracelet in Vietnam, I didn't think they had Jade. Saying that the lady did tell me that the bracelet was Vietnamese, but saying that she was trying to sell this to me. The link you have put on above is interesting, the gold design is similar. I do appreciate your help, thank you.
