Correia Art Glass was founded in 1973 by Steven V. Correia. It is located in Santa Monica, California. Some Correia art glass is in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, the Corning Museum, and the Chrysler Museum, and the company is still producing beautiful modern studio glass.
This petite example stands just 2.5" tall and is about 3" in diameter. The rim is tiny, less than 1" in diameter, and is polished. The clear base glass features cobalt feathers pulled through a background of gold. In certain light, the feathers look green due to the mixing of blue and gold color. The surface has a strong metallic oxide iridescence. The base is ground flat and signed "Correia". It also has an etched number, which I believe indicates 1982 as the year of manufacture. It also features a paper label. Art Nouveau revival of the modern era!

Thank you Peasejean & sklo!
Very nice mini Bob! What I love so much about these little guys is you can have a thousand of them and fit them all in one square foot. LOL
Yes Rick, it would be difficult to only collect 12" and larger objects. I have a couple of shelves full of smalls... better yet, with coin collecting, hundreds can be stored in very small boxes in 2"x2" coin safety flips - and locked in a safe ;-P - Bob
Thank you kindly Ivonne, racer, Bob, swfinluv, Rick, petey, aura, vetraio, and Pat!
