No marking on this silver item. Maybe an ivory handle. Can someone help me identify its use. I put a quarter next to it so you can see the size.

The handle looks pale green, which might mean that it's jade. I haven't the first idea what it could be - from where did you get it?
It has been in my husband's family;. Yes it is pale green, so probably jade. Thanks for responding.
