This is a simple clear glass Martelé vase in a signature Rindskopf tricorn shape. It is pinched in several spots around the waist. It is 9" tall and about 3.5" in diameter, with a polished rim and a fairly rough pontil. The hammered Martelé texture covers the surface and shows ripples of colorful metallic iridescence when properly lit, but when backlit, it appears to be just clear glass. Nothing too fancy here, but it was one of those lucky finds from a seller that didn't really know much about it and priced it accordingly.
very effective shape & texture , the manipulation in the indents & tricorn fab Bob
It may not be fancy, but is still so beautiful. The molded form is just SO organic and art nouveau - I love it!! (The shapes are what I think I love about Rindskopf the best - they are just so unique to their work, I think...)
Much appreciation to swfinluv, Manikin, aura, sklo, vetraio, racer, Oroyoroy, Alfredo, Malkey, Sean, Michelle, Ivonne & the ever LovelyPat! It is so much fun to love glass collecting and it is nice to see that I'm not the only one. There is a lot of great knowledge among many of the posters on this forum! I see that I'm up to 96 posts now, so I'm trying to plan ahead and come up with something special when I hit # 100 :-) - Kindest regards, Bob
Beautiful Bob! In pic 3 it appears to have a slight pink tint to it.
