I have an insurance valuation from 1974, these would have been purchased by my grandfather. He never bought anything new. So I am guessing it is much older.
I'm finding it really hard to find out anything about them . I know they are jade but don't know if they are valuable or not? I have been to a jeweller and he clearly knew nothing about jade, so wasn't much help.
Who should I go to?
The metal looks like gold - any marks on any of these pieces? There are many different sorts of Jade.
Yes they are gold. On the insurance valuations I have it does say it's all gold. The ring has a makers mark which is quite strange looking, could either be a capital G with the bottom of the G worn away or a creamer, there is a small * shape next to that.
