During the lull at yesterday's market, I wandered over to the table of someone across from me. I saw this snuffbox in the cabinet. Measures 2 1/4" by 1 1/2". It's quite light, weighing in at 15.22 grams. The lid closes with a resounding *CLICK*. The third photo is of the bottom, which looks identical to the top. :-))))
I will post a similar one I found on Pinterest down in the comments.
Thanks to kyra and kevin for putting my snuff box into the correct era.
My first snuff box!
Thanks for stopping by~!
Bonnie

scotty - I always look for snuff boxes, but only find the ridiculously high priced ones.
Really nice. It might even be earlier, Georgian ..... hard to tell, I know.
Kevin - that would be nice if it was Georgian!

Great find at a great price! End of 18th, beginning of 19th, so to say georgian. :-))
kyra - really? So Kevin is right.....
How do you know - is it the design or the shape? I saw very few with that ribbed design pattern.
Changing my heading...
