    This plate belongs to my Great Aunt. It's less delicate and pretty compared to all of the other plates that she owned. It looks like it may have been hand painted and the design is worn making me think it was used more often that her other plates. I don't remember seeing it before though. There are no markings at all on the underside of the plate. I'd love to know what this plates story is. Thank you.

      Depends upon the size. But I suspect it might have had a sauce-boat to match.

      That lustre looks Japanese. Is it porcelain? A bottom shot might help.

      It is porcelain. I've just added a photo of the bottom but there are no identifying marks.
