Joan Walsh Anglund was an author /illustrator of children’s books. I have a ceramic watering can by her with similar characters, also made in Japan but by a Determined Productions, a company which did licensing contracts with cartoon creators- their first client Charles Schultz for Peanuts

I LOVE Joan Walsh Anglund--I have books, plates, and figurines with her illustrations. She also was an early influence to the artist Mary Engelbreit.
