    This pretty little cup has some writing on it - i'd love to know what it says - if anyone can read it. i think that this is probably a mid-century piece. what do you think?

      My wife thinks this may be a Chinese tea cup, not Japanese. More than the fact that the lady painted on the cup is Chinese ~ she's wearing a Chinese robe, not a Japanese kimono ~ she can't make heads or tails out of the writing. Of course, she could be totally wrong! ~ there's no maker's mark or country of origin on the cup. [;>)
