    I am wanting to learn more about this pipe that my grandfather who was born in 1900 in Scotland brought over to Canada.
    I have been told that it was passed on to him. It has been entrusted to me so I would like to learn more if I can.

      Welcome to CW, looks like you have a Meerschaum pipe. If you google that you can find the history. Meerschaum pipes date back to the 1700's, its a mineral that was easy to carve and worked good for pipes and is still used today. Very collectible!
