I have an antique chamber pot. I cannot make out the makers mark. It looks like a star with a crescent beneath. Under the crescent it says "CHINA" but I cannot make out the word within the crescent. Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Is it normal for a chamberpot to have a lid?
