When I spotted this glass in the charity shop, it reminded me some posts from this website. It had a price tag of £2.oo and I love the colour combination, so I bought it. The 20thcenturyglass.com website shows a same piece stating it's a Czech glass jug from the 1930s. It has some wear to the bottom. I wouldn't call it a jug, maybe it is a small vase with a handle. Approximately 5.5'' from top to bottom.
Thank you Caperkid!!!
Gee, that's different!!
Lucky you, I'd have bought it too! Rather whimsical, but they are called jugs.
I certainly do love the colors and unique shape of this!
I love tango - so bright and modern. The shape of this is so quirky!
Strange as CW leads us to new areas of interest... lovely buy!!!
very interesting find marti:))
Great piece Martika! Somebody, I believe Peggy, posted something with a similar, pinched rim, and that's what I love most about it! It also reminds me of a Loetz tulip vase.
Thank you Peggy, Bonnie, Jscott0363, Karen, Pascale, Fleafinder and Rick for your nice comments and big thanks to everybody for stopping by and for the love!!!
Rick - I just checked out Peggy's vase, it's lovely!!!
I have some like this. They are Czech but the jury is out as to maker at the moment!
I'm curious to know the verdict of the jury, Ian !!!
