Cannot find any markings on these two pieces. Just wondering if anyone has any information on them. Inherited from mother-in-law from east coast but don't know anything about them and not even sure what the piece is beside the teapot but they are obviously a set. Thanks.

The other piece is a sugar pot.

      Thanks. Seemed big for sugar.

Very pretty! I have noticed that some companies did make large sugar bowls, particularly American, in the 1920-30’s. Unless it has a notch on the other side for a spoon, then it would be a preserve/jam pot. The finials on top are unusual, with a bamboo look, so could be Japanese, made for the American market

do you think that it might be German?
