My inner voice shouted at me to go look in the thrift shops today. In the first shop, I looked through all the jewelry (rubbish) that was hanging in the display cabinets. I went upstairs and looked around at all the other stuff on offer, then came back down for another look at the jewelry. This necklace was hanging behind the counter with other costume jewelry, already with a price tag. Since I am known in the shop, I can look behind the counter at the jewelry. This chain was the last thing I looked at - it had a big red copper and enamel cross hanging from it and was priced at 2,95 Euro. (The cross by itself would have been 95 Euro cents.) I saw the hallmark stamps.
11/3/2016: Had it weighed for scrap value: $330.00+....however, this will not be scrapped or sold! :-))))
Total length is 80 cm or 31 inches.
I plunked down my money and sailed happily out of the shop!
J.E.D.I.!!
Thanks for stopping!

Pffft!
I coulda done that! maybe? nah
Bonnie, I hope you will understand when I say it is getting very difficult to keep saying "well done" here to your fabulous finds!!!!!
But seriously, WELL DONE!!!! JEDI .....(insert bowing here)!!!!
LOL Judy!! I NEVER expected to find such a thing in that shop. These folks who so carefully and diligently check each piece of jewelry for marks before putting them out for sale totally missed it...BAH HAHAHA! I know why it happened, though. It looks like white costume metal, not a precious metal, because it is very shiny. Based on that, the person who tagged the necklace just didn't bother to look closer at it.
Yayyyy, should be more like this!!!!
hi bonnie can i be your shopping soulmate.lol
