    Galvanized Steel is seldom used to make folk art, but this head of a pig is a rare exception. Made by hand and used, well...likely at the pig pen! A novelty piece which lived outdoor a long time. After all, the purpose of galvanized steel is not to rust. Circa 1930s. Collection Jim Linderman Dull T0ol Dim Bulb

      This really floats my boat.
      I think gal steel is rarely used because of the problems with fumes from the zinc, and it's effect on a good weld. I think it was more likely galvanised after construction and so think it a deliberate piece of art, not a farmer's whimsy.
