Hi Cultcha, Don't know a thing about the pot, sorry, but can provide some info about how to correctly pronounce BONSAI, if you don't already know.
Most non-Japanese speakers, particularly English speakers, mispronounce BONSAI and pronounce it BANZAI, which is a Japanese word but with a very different meaning. BANZAI was what Japanese soldiers during WWII would yell and scream as they made their suicide charges against their enemies, and which is used today by Japanese corporations when they launch a new product or during their annual end-of-year corporate meeting.
The correct pronunciation of BONSAI is [bone-sigh]. If you pronounce BONSAI correctly to the Japanese, they will be most impressed because they are used to hearing it mispronounced all the time. [;>)
thank you Nevada! i think oakland must be the bonsai capitol in the usa. we have lots and lots of growers of bonsai [and most people pronounce it correctly here].
