This example has no markings but does appear to be a 1908 Kellogg telephone. 1908 I think is more a model reference than the year it was made.
I have been wanting a candlestick phone for a few years but the prices have been a bit higher than I like. Although I should have gotten the one with a ringer box I saw a few years ago.
This phone was modernized somewhere in the past, possibly around 1950. The cord was replaced and some more modern pieces inside.
It needs a new receiver/earpiece. I'll replace the rubber cord with a proper wire covered cloth when I replace the receiver. The bakelite cap has broken off the end of this one but is still presentable for display.
Oh wow!! I am still waiting to find one of these!! Fantastic!!
I love this style of telephone, I think I'm in the wrong decade :)
Thank you very much TassieDevil. Good piece to look for.
Thank you very much magician1962. I would thank so too for me but then I couldn't post them here.
Thank you very much Thomas. You could have gotten a call form Chicago on this.
