The mark is a 6 pointed red/pink star. I believe that this star has a unique name. Wish I knew. Anyway, There are letters around that spell out P A T E N T. There are a couple of initials in script in the center.
The era, I believe, to be Victorian & European. The design around the cup and saucer reminds me the term "Regency', I don't know why. Also I believe it's called a 'swag'.
On Google Images there are many, many images of hundrends plus of porcelain marks to browse through. You can do a search by the color of the mark I discovered, and the shape. Very good resource to use. Except in this situation I don't find any mark like this.
Someone please help? Thank you
This was probably a custom made piece from a company called Patent AC, an exporter or fine retailer of porcelain, mainly dealing in Paris Porcelain circa 1860-80’s. There are fakes out there, but could be of some value
Thank you so much. Very Interesting information. No luck, so far, Googleing for any information on this exported in France. What kind of resource do you use to have researched this? You're so fortunate to have that available to you.
I got info on marks4antiques, which I’m a member of. It costs about $100 per year to join but helps me a lot, and saves time. You can search for marks by name, or by one letter, and they have lots of galleries of categories like Crowns, moons & stars, wreaths, circle shapes, animals, non-latin names etc
Thank you Maryh1956 for sharing that great information.
