This is in response to maryh1956 . The underside of stag plate that I have two of. Also I looked into Utzschneider Sarreguemines and found more info on the maker.

Morimura Brothers of Nagoya, Japan, later became part of Noritake, among other producers. Nippon translates to mean “JAPAN” , and for some reason Nippon collector’s revere the Noritake products over others. Below is a link to a Noirtake collectors site where you can view information, such as backstamps/makers’s marks without paying to join.

found a site on Google---first went to NIPPON MARKS AND PATTERNS- then click on---OFTEN SEEN AUTHENTIC NIPPON MARKS-NORITAKE COLLECTORS--- I see my plate mark .It gives clues to real and fake .Which category would you say my mark is in ?
I’m pretty sure yours is authentic, the moriage work is very well done. The Noritake Guild I posted the link to has a contact person who could help you. Just fond the contact tab
