i found this in a old run down darn full of bottles i know the handles r missing but i had to bring it home can any one tell me what they r called and what they where used for t y ah it looks like it made of copper
I have one, I'm not sure what it is supposed to be used for but we just put firewood in it, it works great for that
What you have is a copper boiler, it sat on a wood stove. One of the jobs it was used for was boiling white clothing , linens, etc. to clean them. They where also used any time boiling / hot water was needed, such as scalding pigs, cleaning chichens etc.
