      These are both carte de visites a popular photograph medium from the Civil War through about 1900.

      CDVs were the baseball cards of the era. Images of personalities were mass produced and collected by folks in a similar manner to baseball cards.

      These particular ones were done during the Civil War era or possibly as late as 1876 (Centennial) as Washington's image was a popular subject.

      Take a look at ebay-- I'd say less than $10 each.
