Gorgeous colour Bonnie......really lovely!!
These beads are what is most often called Peking Glass (opaque bluish green and spotted imitation of jade or turquoise). Czechoslovakia started producing them around 1920s when "ethnic" jewelry became popular. They may still be making them. Nowadays almost any and all green beads are called "peking glass" but these are what it originally represented (would be great to find a manufacturer's document or an ad confirming that some day!)
Hi davy - thanks so much for the info! This looks like an older necklace. I will look around and see if I can scare up some advertising relating to these beads.
Love the color! It is very beautiful indeed!
val - yes, it's a choker. It has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of costume jewelry!
Oh boy, just look at these!
