This has been in the back of my property for years and I know nothing about heaters. Can anyone tell me about this type of heater. All i know it has MODERN No.116 on the front.

I seriously doubt this would be a Glenwood. Their name was their trademark and it would have been displayed. I notice both a lid handle and a shaker handle sitting on top. That would say this stove would use both coal and wood. The design with the side wings/fins was quite common around the 1920's. Two companies that come to mind are Stewart stoves and Peninsular. Their stoves were commonly sold without a makers name and perhaps purchased through a catalog. This stove is worthy of being restored and should be moved out of the weather to protect it from more damage and rust. If it were mine I would certainly restore it and probably laugh all the way to the bank when I sold it. Good Luck
