thank you Kevin!
I see this as a testimony to the corruption of the White's.
i agree with you blunder on what the Indian man says, but the description of what the card is about on the back side is what seems racist and annoying to me.
I think he understood "White mans ways" very well !!
i agree Hedgewalker!
Prejudice or honestly observant.
I visited a museum in Edmonton Alberta that was showing Canadian Firsts Nations art and cultural displays. The original Canadian Indian Act did not consider them people unless they were baptised Christian. A dog had more rights. A very sad part of our history
And Canada dealt much more fairly with them. Maybe I'm thinking about years later when the Canadian conscious caught up with them.
Yep it did bb2 and is still going on.
my family is part native / part french from quebec and nova scotia. we were always taught that the french and natives got along really well. not sure whether that is completely true, but it's what i've always heard.
From 1650 on fur traders who were mostly French took many native women as wives and were in a sense allies against the English they are called Metis which means mixed but not necessarily do the have to be French any European with a spouse there off spring is also considered Metis but a large number were French.
