Hello everyone.
This is an unusual buy for us, but is just so cute we had to bring it home!
For the moment the main light works but there appears to be a broken wire under the little bird so will probably get a total rewire this week. I think it is made of metal, glass and bakelite with the bird being moulded frosted glass.
The pull switch has a double action which should, I hope, make the lights work independently of each other.
The height to the top of the bakelite lightbulb holder is 8 1/2 inches..........the shade is not original to it.
There is an impressed mark of either an M or a W on the base as well as a remnant of a label by the look of it.
I have researched and the only similar ones I have seen are by PIFCO 1930/40s, but their mark on the base is quite different.
Has anyone seen one before? Pretty nice I think.......hope you like it!

Oh Judy, This is a wonderful little lamp and just a wonderful find!! I totally agree on the rewire of this little beauty.

Thanks Magic, I think it is too! Bought it from an antique shop where the owners are finally about to retire so everything was very reasonably priced!
Really happy for the owners, but that is just one less place for us to visit now........so many antique shops have closed here in the last couple of years!
