Old Scissors or Shears

Hello...

I am wondering if anyone might know what the use would have been for these scissors. They are 11" long with 7" blades. The blades are almost half moons. The are hand forged. The blades are concave and look as though they have been cutting something hot because the inside of the blades are blackened.
There are no company or forge marks or marks of any kind on the scissors.
