1911 Postcard from United States Hatcheries, Wood's Hole, Mass.

Here is a photo of Wood's Hole Hatcheries, which eventually became the Oceanographic Institute - where a lot of studies of the ocean still go on today. It was started in the defunct factory where guano from the pacific islands was turned into fertilizer in the 1870s.
