This is one of the earliest items I posted but all of the information has turned out to be wrong. I have been going through my items to see which need new improved posts and this is one.
It is 15" across from the widest point. About 14' from the flat sides.
This seems to be depression era glass but the various block patterns do not seem to match.
The block pattern is in the center portion and the there is a rib pattern on the outer edge. It could possibly be elegant glass although there is a mold defect in the base which is more common to depression glass.
Thank you

This is a flower frog bowl. To put the glass flower frogs like I have posted in. I only collect the frogs, but many come with bowls. I just dont have room for the whole setup. Now you have to try to find the frog that goes with the bowl.
Thank you very much sslam. I have been looking for the frog for some time but I can never find one large enough.
they are out there, I have 2 huge ones. I say about 5 1/2 ". It only has to fit down into the smallest part. If you look at my posting the pink one on the top shelf is pretty big if you compare to the insulators. it is much pinker than the photo shows too, the sun kind of washes them out. If I happen to see one, I will alert you. how big is that small part down inside the bowl.
it might be from a Cambridge lady flower frog and they are pretty easy to find on ebay. It is like a glass statue of a lady.
Thank you again sslam. I will measure it. 5 inches could be 5 1/2" it is a bit tricky to measure that area. I may go eBay although I prefer to find them in person.
Meant to mark the bowl Unsolved Mystery as I haven't been able to find out who made the bowl and when.
Thank you AnnaB.
