    I bought this wallet some time a go.i don't know if Chinese our Japanese. All so there was a small card in side . don't know if it is connected to the wallet. May bee the person who owned it can some one help shed some light on it .many thanks

      Can't quite see the date on the prayer card.
      USS Cabot served in the Pacific war with attacks on Okinawa and Kyushu and various other targets in the South China Sea.
      The kanji appears Chinese to me, and as Cabot was around Formosa at times (Taiwan) it's possibly from there.

      Very cool piece of history. I had something similar and was told it was made in China for the Flying Tigers. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Tigers
      They were a group of American pilots fighting in China in the early 1940s. This could be connected. Good luck!
