I really love glass vases that have been cased in coloured glass.

This combination of purple and blue seems very Japanese to me, and very appealing.

It's a lovely vase, and although I don't know who made it, I suspect it is by Hokuyo Glass.

The doll is biggish I guess Ivonne, although at 20cm this is a smallish vase for my collection lol.

Gorgeous all the way around and love the kokeshi too. A perfect match!!!

Thanks Scott. It's a lovely combo.

Thanks for the care Judy. I've been very busy.
I'm glad you like this too!

Martika thank you. Yes the thumbnail is another pic from Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara, and the doll a kokeshi I thought suited the vase. They look good together.

Thanks Peggy! I agree they have had a good time hot working that rim.

      Thanks JBI!!

      And Bonnie!

By now you know my affinity for multi colored glass Karen - be it cased or sommerso - and yours, in this particular color combination, is simply gorgeous! What also caught my eye, is that delicious rim which folds and rolls this way and that! Lovely!

Many thanks Fort; pretty the both.

      Cheers Champagne1964 (a good year)

This vase is once again so beautiful. I love this color combo and just this moment remembered that these are the colors I used together as a kid! How funny that a vase with like colors so many years can bring up such a memory! That is very cool! Thank you ;)))
    24. racer4four racer4four, 8 years ago
Thanks Find! A lot of them came from Japan to me so aren't common around here either. Like I said, I'm a sucker for a coloured glass casing and when I see them usually can't resist (even though my bank balance wants me to)!
    25. racer4four racer4four, 8 years ago
That's so cool Sue, to have those memories. You had good taste as a kid :))
When I was in my teens my room was decorated in greens and purple, so this is sorta close. Maybe. Well. No.
Still I love this vase, and green and purple remain my two favourite colours.
