I really love glass vases that have been cased in coloured glass.
This combination of purple and blue seems very Japanese to me, and very appealing.
It's a lovely vase, and although I don't know who made it, I suspect it is by Hokuyo Glass.
Height 20cm
Beautiful Hyacinth color Karen, ...You've been absent for a few days..Hope all is well. :)
Really nice!Is the doll big or the vase small?
Thanks Mike.
All good; work and more!
The doll is biggish I guess Ivonne, although at 20cm this is a smallish vase for my collection lol.
Karen,
That's just beautiful!! I love the shape and the color.
This is great Karen, the colour is beautiful!!!
Glad all is good.....was starting to worry......
Stunning!!! I just looked at the thumbnail picture, and I knew it is from you! The doll is pretty too!!! :)
Pretty colours but the rim is a work of art and the doll is gorgeous!
Beautiful and unique color.
L-O-V-E-L-Y!!!
Gorgeous all the way around and love the kokeshi too. A perfect match!!!
Thanks Scott. It's a lovely combo.
Thanks for the care Judy. I've been very busy.
I'm glad you like this too!
Martika thank you. Yes the thumbnail is another pic from Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara, and the doll a kokeshi I thought suited the vase. They look good together.
Thanks Peggy! I agree they have had a good time hot working that rim.
Thanks JBI!!
And Bonnie!
You know I thought of you when I put the kokeshi out Sue! Thanks :)
That is a pretty one.
Very Beautiful !
By now you know my affinity for multi colored glass Karen - be it cased or sommerso - and yours, in this particular color combination, is simply gorgeous! What also caught my eye, is that delicious rim which folds and rolls this way and that! Lovely!
Many thanks Fort; pretty the both.
Cheers Champagne1964 (a good year)
The rim is lovely Rick I agree. Thanks for your usual insight and love.
beatiful doll and vase
love it.....the Blend of colors remind me of my Japanese piece...LOL

Your vases are such an inspiration to keep it moving on up. :)
Love the information and posts, but not to be found around here, so thank you for sharing them and your support!! Love your p0sts so much!!
This vase is once again so beautiful. I love this color combo and just this moment remembered that these are the colors I used together as a kid! How funny that a vase with like colors so many years can bring up such a memory! That is very cool! Thank you ;)))
Thanks Find! A lot of them came from Japan to me so aren't common around here either. Like I said, I'm a sucker for a coloured glass casing and when I see them usually can't resist (even though my bank balance wants me to)!
That's so cool Sue, to have those memories. You had good taste as a kid :))
When I was in my teens my room was decorated in greens and purple, so this is sorta close. Maybe. Well. No.
Still I love this vase, and green and purple remain my two favourite colours.
late to the party but wow!
Never too late Pickaboo!
Thanks so much. Your name has to be the cutest :))
