Sad to say I do not know much about either of these dolls. The blonde has markings of BRU.Jne 13 and I know the Dark hair is a low brow. They have been handed down from my grandparents parents (I think). They are both perfect, no chips, cracks, or scrapes. I am in such awe of both of these amazing dolls.

Well they are on new bodies and the Bru is a reproduction not original and the curly hair china is hard for me to see close up painting but also could be a well done repro. I need better photo's . I would like to see marking on back of head of repro Bru also :-)

She is a reproduction made from a mold from a original Bru . These were popular in 1980's and 90's to make in a doll making class . So they are not as old as you were led to believe and PS the woman that made these dolls and bought reproductions during those years their average age was 50 and over . They are nice do decorate with but no real value :-( Sorry to be the one to tell you that .

Thank you for your valuable information. It nice to know, I still love the dolls and the meaning and history because they did come from my grandparents. Now when my girls are old enough to understand I could have some information for them to have. Thanks again!

Your welcome and they are special because you received them from your grandparents and I am sure they hoped you would enjoy them and take care of them .
