    Hi my name is victor I like you professional input on a oil lamp that was converted into a light lamp,, its been in our family for more than 60 years could you please give me a valuation more or less and information on this oil lamp be much appreciated thank you
    what I can tell you about the lamp is that is was given as a wedding present to my dad and mum 60 years ago where he work at a castle/palace in Lisbon Portugal,

      I think that your electric lamp was an electric lamp all it's life. There are no burner parts remaining on this lamp and the font would not have been the blue glass stem that you see with the enamelled decoration. Even if the lamp was old at the time that it was given to your dad & mum, electricity had long been invented and electric lamps go back to the Late Victorian era. The artwork suggests a 1950's type decor which would be consistent with when they received it. The Style is definitely of a Victorian Era oil lamp but it's not the real thing. RER

      Thank you do you know what it is Worth not that I want to sell it as I'll pass it on to my kids one day this Beauty will remain in our family
