Strange little Urn with Great Glaze!

This little urn stands 5 inches tall and is odd. the glaze is really beautiful, but it only goes 2/3 of the way down the pot. it's like a series of these were made to show different glazes. the inside is completely glazed, so it could have been used to hold some kind of sweet or something edible inside. it has some age to it, although i can't say for sure how much age.
