My New Bakelite / Catalin Figural Eggs!

I seriously cannot believe it! I bought these four in a lot about 3 days ago thinking all of the eggs in my box would be stone for my collection. 4 eggs were, in fact, stone - but these four brightly colored eggs were something else - they felt like a weird plastic.

At first I was pretty bummed out, but their color really struck me. Having collected some bakelite / catalin jewelry and dice, I thought "Why not test these?"

I seriously did not think they would pass my tests - but they did. They have that distinct smell when exposed to hot water and my ammonia tests came back positive. These are now probably the coolest thing I own - in my opinion!
