This small blue opaline glass vase dates to the first half of the 19th century. It is about 5" tall and 4" in diameter at the widest. It features a delicate flame polished downward flared rim and a well finished flame polished pontil mark. It is in the neo-classical style of an urn on a pedestal, and in a color that was very popular during the era of the restored Bourbon monarchy. Though unmarked, it was likely made by St. Louis, or perhaps Baccarat. Exceptionally fine workmanship, and wear consistent with age and very soft leaded glass.

Another great piece Bob! It has a lot going for it... the color, the riggaree (?) and that nice folded-over rim!
