This is a WWII British Royal Navy Senior Officer Visor cap, it was made by Gieves and has some of the softest wool and best construction I have ever seen. It is in great shape with no moth nips and only minimal where on the inside. This is one of my favorite Visors.

The quality would not be surprising. Many of the bespoke tailors and outfitters of Savile Row started business as suppliers to the military, and of course the officers were gentlemen from the upper classes. Gieves is now Gieves and Hawkes at No. 1 Savile Row. https://www.gievesandhawkes.com
