This item was sourced in France. It is believed to be early 1800's and is constructed of French Oak.
The source of origin is also believed that this could be from a monastery which is located nearby.
The Chair, also from the same period could be made from Holly or Boxwood. However, this is yet to be confirmed. Both have been stored in the same family in the same house since this period.
Please feel free to comment. I would love to hear any comments on restoration techniques, wood types, period etc.
