I found this item at the local thrift store. It consusted of 4 section with a total hight about 1.5 - 2 feet tall with a square white marble base.

It had 6 individual bulbs, one at the end of each branch and covered with extremely ornate (punched) brass shades, which was compromised of 8-10 individual pieces.

Each shade was adorned with large glass crystals around the eadge.

These are what was being offered in the early 1970's. In about 1966 a large export trade surfaced that had many lamps, statue lamps and tables made of metal and a lot made from other materials such as plaster put on the market. A lot like yours probably came from Italy, where most of this kind were made. Many shops opened just for the avalanche of product that came from there. California also joined in making a lot of lamps. Most to almost all were not marked.

These lamps, or the castings (parts) were manufactured by L&L, it was a company in northern jersey which closed its doors in 1976 or 78 they started production of lamps in the 1940's.. The crystals dangling were very popular in the early to mid 70's known as aroura bouriallis or AB crystals a lamp like this could yeald (this is just a guesstimate) $200-300 in a higher end market, but keep in mind the value on anything is only what someone is willing to pay for it....
