Found this Pipe stand ??? about a year ago in a thrift store....paid $2.88 for it! I felt instantly connected to it but know NOTHING about it. I guess that is my OCD. Anyway, its stamped "CHAPMAN - MADE IN ITALY" on the back. I've only seen one other like it but it was stamped with Spain instead of Italy. Just curious if ANYONE has any clue as to the AGE (lots of real worm holes) and history lesson on CHAPMAN...is this the same Chapman/Lamps company. Names would be nice too. lol And of course a value if any.
    Thank you so much.

      It is a pipe stand.

Construction may help to identify age, but based on the stamping and purpose, I would think it is 20th century.

Photos of the stamping and the drawer joints would be helpful.

I bought a shelf at an estate sale with the same stamp and appears to have the same kind of textured wood. Have you learned anything about your pipe stand or anything about Chapmans?
