    I believe it is from the 1920s but I am not sure which tribe or anything about it. Is it plaited? Maybe Apache?

      IT's a gathering basket of some sort. For harvesting something. Corn? Looks like the ones they use in Asia to gather tea leaves. I wonder that was hung from those loops?

      "I think it may be from South America…I am fairly confident it is not Native North American…I believe the basket is “twined” and not “plaited”…I can’t tell about the corn husk strap" ?

      Right, not Native American. It's a twined Yanomami burden basket from the Amazon region of Brazil and Venezuela.
