    This was given to me by my mother so will remain in my permanent collection. The story is that it came from overseas "Slovenia" and that is very old. The details on the cover are amazing. I like elephants but I'm hoping its ivory. The edges are framed in some kind of metal. brass maybe and the whole thing is wrapped in a green velvet which is hard to see. the cross looks to be gold possibly. Please help.

      Very interesting! Yes it's a Slovenian prayer book, but I suspect it was printed in New York ( Novi York).
